National Audit Awareness Training

The Brief

We rolled out a nationwide learning series aimed at preparing frontline disability workers for the NDIS recertification. Frontline leaders and staff participated in a mix of training workshops and coaching sessions to help them prepare for the external audits of their services.

Practice and Quality Assurance advisors asked us to create and deliver this series both virtually and in-person. Additionally, they requested resources to aid staff during their team preparations for the auditor site visits.

The Solution

In this project, we teamed up with the Disability Support Service Centre Manager and other Subject Matter Experts to craft the learning content, objectives, and accompanying resource guides.

We delivered virtual sessions across the country over two weeks, with just one week allocated for the content production. As the Learning Specialist for this initiative, I played a role in facilitating every session alongside a Subject Matter Expert.

The Outcomes

Increased motivation, confidence and success of our frontline workforce who participated in the audit activities

Easier access to information about the national recertification and audit process.

All staff involved in the program were able to apply their knowledge of the sector’s regulatory frameworks, and spoke confidently about their roles in relation to the NDIS Practice Standards.
